REpower signs contract for 131 MW Australian wind farm project

Hamburg/Melbourne, 3 September 2012. REpower Systems SE, has signed a contract with Meridian Energy Limited to supply 64 MM92 wind turbines, each with 2.05 MW of rated power, to the Mt Mercer wind farm. The Mt Mer-cer wind farm project is based in Victoria, Australia, located approximately 30 km south of Ballarat. This is REpower’s first contract with Meridian Energy and the company’s largest ‘supply & install’ contract for its MM se-ries turbines in Australia to date.

The wind turbines are scheduled to be installed and commissioned between September 2013 and January 2015. Andreas Nauen, CEO REpower Systems SE, states: “This is a landmark order.
